Chronology of the actions to rejoin the network

I specify that I did not be at my place when John paul obtained
my AP, I oriented my antenna with a compass and I left (in
meeting wifi).

The fourth link was done between "dijou" and
"ouinouin" (900 m), with 2 SD27 (or antennas ricoré),

The antenna type that I used is: omnidirectionnelle. I
exaggerated his "power" to simulate an one-way one. The
liaisons "long" will be able to be done only with
one-way.
Attention, the antennas SD27 are very directional,if one moves away oneself from 5DEGRÉS, one loses half of power (3DB in less).

This is what a network maillé?
This is a network or each uses relays to the
others. There is not central element, or of centralized
management.

The right to the antenna is registered in the French right, select the section "The links", "The right to l'antenne"..
Our needs (movable or set up) rejoin when the movable ones use set up them to communicate between them or with internet, through the set up that have the adsl.
It is necessary therefore to decide for the PERCENTS set up, towards

This is a problem of

To avoid that those that well placed (on high points) pay
dearer than the others (because they would have more antennas to
buy), I looked for the topologie of a network
inhabitant of toulouse that:
- connects the maximum of persons on the city and especially to

The objective is to use a minimum of one-way antennas.
With 1 UNITED one, there has not any network, that of the pairs
of links,
With 2 UNITED one, one all is linked up by a "wire" :
not any redondance, minimal debit.
With 3 UNITED one, that walks!! (of or the bottom of orderly in
"nest d'
bee ")
Therefore 3 united one and a small omni, that does 4
antennas on an AP. The lost power is of 6DB.
In city, it is judicieux to put the small omni
on a gone out (upright or left) and the 3 unite on the other gone
out, all that while using the method diversity
who will exploit eventual scrambling perceived by the small omni.
Here the specifications of the need for the problem of
topologie (to the case or you would have an "algorithm"
better than mine) :
Points divided up on a plan

It is desirable to be able to resolve this problem locally,
without knowing the body of the points. (I did not there reach,
but I did not really try).
The number of points being weak (on the order of 100 or 1000),
the times of calculations are negligible and consequently are not
a constraint.
My software takes 3 to 4MN on a pentium II to 450MHZ. The
calculation time is linear to the number of not at all.
I verify the hypothesis while eliminating the isolated wifistes
or the isolated networks, network more big, before the
calculation.
In this specification, nearer that wants to say more easily joignable by WiFi!! This is the file text of the dBm, produces by software "movable radio" or produces by my software, that gives the liaisons physiquement possible.
It would seem that the problem classifies itself in the
category of the " difficult optimisations
" (one cannot obtain from optimum solution in a time

increases with the size of the problem), thank-you to François
Galéa and its colleagues.
My soft is near of the "algorithms
métaheuristiques ".
I did not need to implement of "research taboo", but I
do not know to say why! (I noted it).
My optimisation function consists of "to measure" the
distance of the solution to the structure "bee nest".
My solution does not consist improving a tree found by a type algorithm Prim or Kruskal. I do not foresee to use this improvement type, of fear to fall in local maxima.
I do not foresee to try an exact method, of type
"branch-and-bound", that allows obtaining THE optimum
solution, in
Exploring all the possible solutions. (I am afraid of to leave in
exponetielle).
On about 200 times that I did to turn my "algo", there was once or it did not converge. Since, I regulated a parameter to force (stronger) convergence. Ca must do 100 times that it turns as that, with 10 to 30 solutions to every time (I keep only the most optimum one).
Reading of the results of the calculation of the maillage
The result of the network mailléGive
a list with 4 columns. The first one indicates the pseudo of
the interested, the 3 others give the pseudo of the person to
join to verify the link. The amount (of the 3 last columns)
indicate the power margin (in dB), and azimuth (degrees advisable
by a compass; of 0 (north) to 360) antenna to do the link.
In clear, that wants to say that more the values
in dB are low, more it will be necessary to
put of the under to buy professional antennas (60 Euros
the SD27 in Spain). More the values students, more the debit
student and more will be able to replace you the professional
antennas by ricoré.
The cost of the antennas could be taken into

2MBPS! -91 dBm
1MBPS! -93 dBm
Therefore, as in my file have sees that I simulated with
"Threshhold reception (dBm) -93",
that wants to say that a power margin of 0DBI, will
do a debit of 1MBPS with two SD27.
A power margin of 11DB (93-82) will do a link to
11MBPS theoretical with two SD27.

I simulated with "Gain antenna (dBi) 18" (two SD27 by

will do a link to 11MBPS theoretical with two ricoré.

Why 18 dBi by antenna for simulation?
Because I took of the SD27 that done 24DBI. I added a small omni
for each, that does 4 antennas. Therefore I divide the power by
2, 2 times. I lose 3DB to every division by 2, that done 6DB
lost. 24 - 6 = 18 dBi. Voila!
For an isolated wifiste (that has only an antenna) my software is
pessimistic. It is necessary therefore in this case to add 6DB.
